back in 2003 I bought a new Honda 919 (Hornet), the only colour available (in the US) was (ahem) "Smoke". To you and me that was matte silver/grey. It was the only thing I didn't like about the bike - it never looked clean (or new) it looked like a rat bike!

I was hoping that the matte finish fad was just that, a fad but I must be in the minority since every model these days comes out in a matte scheme.

Anyone here own a matte finish bike?
