Default Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?

Deadly pathogens are not limited to farmed / domesticated meat.

Every piece of meat has various levels of pathogens in it, in Australia Kangaroo meat ( wild animals ) has to be cooked very carefully as it contains many things that can make you ill / kill you.

The present craze for burgers cooked medium or rare is particularly stupid, pathogens are more numerous on the outside of meat, by mincing meat to make burgers the outside of the meat gets to be on the inside of a burger, and if not cooked through they remain alive and deadly. Normally pathogens on the outside of say a steak are cooked and killed first so not so bad to leave centre of steak slightly under-cooked.
