At that point I'd been trying to lift it for a couple of minutes resulting in me sinking deeper into the mud and the bike sliding further under water. I was taking a few seconds to recover my breath. I can lift the DRZ fairly easily on flat dry land normally, but the mud sucking it down and my lack of footing underwater made it really difficult. I'm aching today.
