I check the carb balance at every service every year (fitted permanent hoses so I don’t have to lift the tank)
Doing the bar conversion from clip ons helped a lot but I rode a mates cb500x which is definitely a more upright position than my sv and my hands were mostly fine for the 3+ hours we rode for
