I read that microwave ovens work on 2.4Ghz as do some routers. My router does both 2.4 and 5Ghz but if I switch it to 2.4Ghz, put one laptop with known ip address in microwave, then ping it from another laptop. If the shielding is working I shouldn't get a ping. (and if I turn the microwave on I won't have a laptop
