Out in the garden this morning. Did some watering as the rain we had forecast never materialised. Then tried my hand at some grafting. I have a young Bramley apple tree which I'm training as an espalier. The intention is to have one side as a Bramley and the other side as a Cox. I took three scion cuttings from a friend's Cox tree a few weeks ago and this morning I got them out of the fridge and did the deed. We'll see if, and how well they take.
