you could have lightly scratched the finish and to be honest it isn't that thicks, by a long way.

You have two optons
1.
You'll have to cut the finish back but GENTLY, with something like "T cut" or another colour restorer (or a good one is white tooth paste , yes it really works.), also some of the polishes are mildly abrasive so they might work as well.

2
Get one of those wax colour sticks (close to your bikes colour) and follow the directions on it.


If it's down through the paint (scratches are a different colour) then you'll need to add paint (touchup or re-spray area).
