yep when the engine is cold the engine braking can be harsh, I live on a hill, everytime I pulled away on a cold morning and put it into second the bike would really jolt harshly and no word of a lie everytime id get the equivalent of a slap in the ********
. Now im more experienced I make sure I slip the clutch when engaging second when its cold!
Its one way to learn I guess!
