after a bit o hassle, i got the bike back, in the end it was a loose conection from the HT lead-or so I was told.
I was also told that there have been no reported mechanical failures on the new model sv650, so any probs like what I had would have to be electrical. Even the lad who came to collect the bike thought it was water in the front cylinder
