Well I've done my first observed ride. I was so-o-o nervous, but Karl, my observer, tried really hard to put me at my ease. First off he rode in front for about 10 - 15 mins to demonstrate. Then it was my go. TBH since my off I've been scared of corners, particularly left handers, and if there's oncoming - well I'd bottle out. Karl thought I wasn't too bad, which surprised me. He said my main faults were entry point - to be a tyre's width extra to the left or right before I enter the bend, else it's too late, to look through the corner rather than into it, and to roll on the throttle as soon as I can see the exit. And when I managed to get them right - oh the bike sailed through, it felt so much more stable, and I felt so much more confident.

He was very encouraging, balancing not so good points with good ones, and being even in his criticism and praise. He thought it would take a few sessions to crack the road positioning. Overall, I learned so much.

Can't wait for next week!!
