i snapped my gear lever as well (no speed, 2mph. old dear didnt ind and my foot slipped on gravel at side of road and and i was left inspecting the pavement)on a curvey they(gear levers) should be similiar. just drill through whats left and put a bolt through run a few nuts up to give thickness and cover with tape..not a long term thing but it looks and works ok
