Since the day I bought my SV I've suspected it's previous owner had upped the gearing and, as reading everyone else's posts suggests I'm getting close to ten miles more than average from every gallon, my suspicion is now even stronger. If my speedo and rev-counter are accurate - and I've no reason to believe they arent - its geared to do 150mph when its hit the red-line in top gear! As my chain and sprockets are about due for replacement I'd be interested to know how this compares with bikes known to be on standard gearing.
