Quite a few of the guys I know have been nicked for the single line plates too (although the Old Bill are pretty reasonable round these parts -
usually only nick you for it if you've been seen riding like a tw*t)
I've always had small
er plates - usually 6 x 4 on a double line - & haven't had a tug yet.
