I de snorkeled my K3 and fitted a K and N filter although I do believe that the BMC is a good alternative. With my CCC end can fitted the bike just seemed so much better. Just to get some lovely over run sounds also when changing down. I dont think that the extra air actually requires any other tweeks but maybe some of the other guys might be able to offer a little more.
