Got to say 'Thanks you Mr Squid' . Think my muffs are sorted now.

Thought I'd sorted it out at the weekend using some ally strip 3/4 inch wide as a frame for the front bit.

It did Keep the muffs of the levers but was not quite right especially as not being able to adjust the muffs independently( continuous strip of Ally running through both).
.....so I'm thinking 'what's the best way..' until I say your post.

So this morning sniped the Ally strip in half and applying your tip in addition to the Ally frame , it's more or less perfect now .
I'll even go as far as saying 'The best ride I've had with Muffs' .
