Personally I'd be more interested in how the SV1000 compares to a GSXR600 as thats what I will be agonising over when I upgrade.

I dare say they are both so much better than the SV650 that upgrading to either is a no brainer if you can afford it?

I want something a lot faster because my SV is weak at higher speeds and am not fussed about handling and brakes as I take it steady on the bends.

Am wondering whether the 1000 is useably a lot quicker than the GSXR? Is the 1000 held back a bit by the electronics in places to make it safer so that the performance over the 650 is not as great as it could be? That was a rumour a TL1000 owner told me at work?
