Stupid question, but why change the timing?
Anyway, if you want to advance the timing, why not do it via the spark plug gap? Works very well on older bikes, and with modern ignition systems you shouldn't have quite the same issues with dynamos or magnetos - what a relief.
Why spend money on a harley? don't you need it to fix the bits that vibe themselves apart?
