The V-Rod has incredible presence. You really feel special riding one. Everyone (especially sports-bike fans) should try one, just to see what it's really like and judge for themselves. I still wouldn't buy one, but I'm very glad that I got the chance to try one out.

Wyrdness - bang on with your comments mate
Bought one a month ago and am totally gobsmacked with the acceleration & power, it would leave my 650S for dead.
Its also superb in corners, brakes really well (although not as good as the SV - the 275 kilo weight might be something to do with it !)
As you mentioned, the only thing I find totally weird is the feet forward riding position although I have ordered different forward reach foot peg mounts.
All in all, totally amazin bike, no regrets in buying it
