Sadly,(you might think :P ) I have an official 2006 Ducati calendar on the wall above my monitor. I am looking at the Desmo from every conceivable angle....and that honey aint in no-one's language...ugly!
And that naughty girl LYNW.....The Desmosedici is directly derived from the Moto GP bike which has reliability up there with Honda over the past few seasons. Ducati has never blown an engine to my knowledge during racing? Whereas Honda,Suzuki and Yamaha have.
Sete had a gear linkage problem on his Ducati at jerez which was more down to human error than manufacture fault.
The Ducati's that blew there guts at Jerez are cobbled together from spare bits so dont count! :P
