I've done it to.
I re-adjusted my brake and clutch levers and then I thought I go for a ride to see if it was better or worse.
Queue 30 minutes of cussing, swearing as the bike would not start. ( Liz will know what I'm like ) Then I looked at the kill switch and realised that I'd knocked it when I was moving the levers 
Even I laughed at myself
