Well, after a few aborted attempts, I finally replaced the pad of death on the Electro 35. Success! It's working perfectly now; making a nice thunk when winding on and the shutter speed seems to be fine now and not staying open at low light levels. Also cleaned up the Fuji 705 and put a new mirror bumper in.
Need to buy a lens spanner to take the Chinon 35mm apart.
