Cool, Xenar is said to be a good lens. Serial number says 1948/9. Is it all working?

Mrs Rod is still agonising over Contaxes as she has nowt else to get me for Christmas it seems. It could happen I guess but I am starting to feel a bit bad about it. She is also getting the Zeiss fever that I no have to try to keep under control.
