This is more of a grip and a whinge than anything, but man do some people bodge and scarper.
I'm trying to remove the tail tidy as half the paint's flaking off and it looks terrible. So I have good intentions of respraying it and fixing the electrics that have worn through.
Man, what a bodge! It appears to all be hardwired. Un-picking this is going to be a nightmare.
First step was to get the horrible allen head bolts out that hold the tail tidy on- 3 came out ok, but one refused to budge. PlusGas on, make a brew, come back a bit later. All hail the dremmel - cut a slot, used a big screwdriver and an FBH to start the thing twisting, cut second slot to fit the screwdriver and out she comes.
