Default Re: Commuting Tyres

Now have 10,000miles on the Road Attacks.

The front looks about half way through it's life. The rear is on it's last few miles - not quite as long lasting as the Z6s - though I have been riding a bit harder. The rear is squared with about 1mm on the centre. (Motorways kill these things)

I will be happy enough to change just the rear Road Attack for another - I still like how they turn in, the front is great!

At 32,000 miles total however, it looks like the chain and sprockets need replacing despite the scottoiler. (How tight do I sound?)

I was shocked when I was quoted for a service the other day (normally I do them myself) My god, I must have saved a fourtune over 32,000 miles. The guy said I HAD to have the shims checked, I asked how often he actualled altered them - "Never, but it extends the life if you check them" I like the idea. I cheked my headlamps were working this morning - that has just extended their life too!

I'll keep you guys updaed ont eh Road Attack front test as it continues!!
