It took me a year to persuade my Dad that it would help me to help him. It does makes things easier.

Another thing that people don't like to talk about is DNAR (do not attempt resuscitation). My Dad has always hated the idea of needing help from anyone or being a burden and he would be appalled if he could understand his current condition. I'm chatting with our GP next week about setting up DNAR for him.
