So I've got this SV1000, and I have a list of things to do, but does anyone else have experience of this or something they think I should be doing?
- Check wiring from stator to reg/rec and prob replace from reg/rec to direct battery as the connectors can burn up as mine did
- Green connector is a must you don't want that one going wrong (need to find out what this is).
- Testing the stator is a good idea.
- Clutch basket mod is another good idea (need to look this up).
- Cloudy clutch fluid seems to be a common problem but not always the first culprit, many say replace the seals on the slave cylinder but I found my cloudyness was actually from the line, replaced to stainless and problem solved (Its got braided hoses, but I'm not happy with the 3 line system).
- Tre is a nice simple mod but if you got the cash a gipro gear indicator with built in tre is a nice alternative (Anyone used a GiPro before?)
- Add a switch for dealer mode - comes in handy (is this just to get the warning codes up?)
