I gripe because am too old to be doing this sort of thing.

So my son got hit £700 to get his car through the MOT. prompted me to lift the van and look what is needed for mine in 10 weeks.

So I have condemed the strut tops, a CV joint gaitor. The rest looks ok. Strut tops are a pain, remove struts, remove rusted tops and replace. Benefit is I need to free the hub to do this, so free to replace gaiter at the same time.

One day the van will have to go. But if each time it costs me less thatt a hundred to get a ticket it don't exactly owe me. I just object to paying someone to do jobs on the grounds that I don't like doing them anymore.

Guess that my gripe is : - I don't like being a lazy b'stard
