3) Red wine: that's a definite: yes/no/maybe.
4) cow's milk (I think that's ok if skimmed - but where's the fun in that?)
5) chocolate - makes you fat, gives you acne . Nope, it helps circulation and lifts your mood (or does it?)
6) how many fruits/veg: 5 in UK, 7+ in Japan/Canada, 5 Fruit/2 Veg in Oz, 10 in France (Mon Dieu!)
7) Butter (who knows?) it was good, then bad, now good (I think) and on the flip side - reverse that for margarine.

The thing to do is, eat a bit of everything and not too much of anything and you will be fine.. ( the golden mean ), lots of specialists now are seeing reversal of diabetes and great health benefits from eating more fat, as well as good weight loss - the low fat diet has apparently been the cause of rocketing diabetes in western countries. There is an awful lot of cholesterol needed in human brain to build cell walls and nerves. My dad ate every bit of fat he could get his teeth into ( he was very active though with an outdoor job) and he never had heart problems..

In sunlight the body makes vitamin D out of cholesterol.

we have been fed a pack of lies since the mid 1960's about cholesterol and hearts disease - but it will take a long time to reverse all the wrong thinking. Mass medicating people with statins ( very profitable for drug companies ) is causing all sorts of other health problems..
