Cheers for all really helpful replies. I think I'll put up with the app and doing a few u-turns for the time being until I can save a bit more and get a more recent Garmin. I've used one for cycling for a while and it's been ok. Maps being not quite as good as TomTom isn't too much of a problem for me as it's voice commands I'm after, with occaisional glance at a screen when I need to double check / miss the voice command.


The 660 is still fetching about £200, which is 2/3rds of the cost of a more modern one new (discounted).
