Default Re: First post- 99 curvy exhaust issue

I recently had to hack the nuts off my front exhaust pipe. I used an oscillating saw with a metal blade on the outer one and a grinding disk in my dremel for the one next to the cam chain. I then used a reverse drill chuck type stud extractor and an impact wrench to remove the remains of the studs. Be patient when grinding. I had to keep stopping when the dremel got to hot to hold.
If you use stainless studs and nuts to replace the originals remember to use copper grease between the buts and the studs or they will cold weld together so leave you no better off than with mild steel ones.
