Hopefully down to the fettling and warming up in the garage to set valves. Not sure though as that's a hell of a drop from the usual 46mpg. It's also sounding different since the work I did on it. I've removed a scottoiler connector that was put in next to the MAP sensor with a very loose connector. Hopefully it's sounding like it should now and wasn't right before. Otherwise it's sounding wrong now and my "work" has broken it.

That is a low mpg. Mines similar to how yours was. Have you looked at the plugs, are they sooty (Not sweep)
