I absolutely love that route to Bala, as you climb up out of Pen-y-bont-fawr and along the top the road and views are
stunning. Then over the top again on the B4391 to Ffestiniog and down to Porthmadog ... doesn't get much better, in my view
It's a shame the A5 has average speed cameras over some stretches but at least the limit is NSL and not 50mph.
