I still put a piece of wood under my bikes propstand to keep it more vertical. It's residual memory from the carb days when a sticking float wasn't that unusual and if you didn't remember to turn off the petrol tap you could get a puddle underneath.

I can't remember - does the curvy carb have an overflow pipe?
