Default Re: Anyone good at solving track tyre wear issues?

Yeah, I saw this earlier and based purely on comparing their pictures with the tyre it looks like a bad case of hot tear. A bit of googling found a test on the tyres that concluded that the rear needs careful attention to pressures and recommended a hot range of 31-36, with the front more consistent with a recommended 35 psi hot.

So I probably need to be about 5 psi harder front and back. Sounds too high to me but I'll try it and will be happy if thats the problem as it's a free fix.

The tyres are excellent if I can sort the wear out, even with the wear they were predictable and grippy. The front gives loads of confidence, I noticed during the day that I was trailing the front brake right to the apex on a couple of the corners without thinking about it, it just felt planted and stable all the way.
