I used custom Layback risers on my top yoke to get my bar up and back enough to clear the fairing and ease my back pain. I have a custom front end, but I had an engineer friend modify the top yoke to accept the risers without having to modify my fairing. I run a pointy, but I imagine the same result could be achieved with a curvy. I did the mods because I am a disabled rider too and have a whole thread here that explains my mods, of which there are loads.
Good luck finding the fix for you, the SV is a great bike for a disabled rider I find because it is narrow, lightweight and still great fun.
