I also bulk cook. Last week I cooked up 12 portions of meaty bolognese sauce and 12 portions of chilli which are now all in the freezer.. Total cost of all the ingredients was well under £16 so around 66p per portion. Add some pasta or rice, and the cost per meal is under the £1 mark. The £2 per meal I quoted was for the most expensive meal I cook regularly.
