My chicken strips have "regressed". They were worn down a bit, but the mud/road grime of winter has formed a new "how far you lean over" marker, even though the chicken strip underneath that gunk is lower.
I hope there's tyre cleaner in my big bucket of Wurth cleaning stuff that I should be getting from my Bike subscription
