I was quite surprised at the willingness of every single person to completely destroy a hire car - over £20 (that for all we know could be fairly due to the company). no wonder it's hard to find a hire car that is cheap to hire with all the repair costs they must endure.

Oh and yes I have returned a hire car with a broken steering rack before - didn't get my deposit back on that one, but that was just racing someone at lights cos I was late & ran out of room & hit the kerb, not because I was trying to destroy the car, If they'd given me a faster car I'd have had 'em
