Popped into the local re-use shop today and picked up a likely candidate for the IR conversion. A slightly rough Panasonic TZ7. It probably got junked because the live image looked all pixelated and the zoom was limited, also when turning it on the lens would extend, retract and extend again. A quick dig around the settings found it was in zoom macro mode. All sorted and working well, just need a usb lead for it. I also picked up a Canon EF 35-70 box and on opening it I found an EF 50mm f1.8 inside. I have an EOS but it's a bit bulky. Can anyone recommend something a bit smaller and lighter but with good features?
