Always worth an ask! I didn't notice the marks. I picked up probably one of my oldest cameras yesterday from the re-use shop, it's a Butcher Maxim No.2. Built between 1903 and 1920, mines the 6x9 model. Shutter works and I have given it a good clean up.

Instantly outbid even though there were no other bids. Seemed fishy so I left it. Wanted the lens for my X500. Might take a punt on this 383000901019
