Why bother with temp gauge, point overflow over clocks somewhere and if it p*sses steam then you've boiled it.
You don't get gauge on 01, just light. Not sure if there is logic circuit in clock to decide where 105C is in terms of sensor signal.
Thin wire sounds like oil pressure switch.
