Did you try WD40, it is pants as a lubricant and does go like a sticky film if you leave it to dry, but as a solvent for sticky stuff of all descriptions, dead flies off paint etc it is unsurpassed.

In fact it is such a good solvent that it will effectively dissolve any lubricant out of whatever you spray it on and replace it with something that is as far from a lubricant as you can get.
