Default Re: SV650 Curvy - Voltage Regulator / Rectifier supplier?

Anyone heard of or tried this SX series regulator ? Series has to be the way to go as unlike the agricultural 'shunt' ( electrical word for connected in parallel ) which just releases all the power it does not need as heat while fully loading the alternator coils all the time, the series ones only allow what they need to pass through and block the rest, giving the alternator a much easier time, rumour has it you can cool your hands on the series type heatsink.... The series ones work more like the alternator on cars where the rotor winding is wound ( not just permanent magnets like on motorbikes) and the current in rotor winding ( excitation ) and therefore alternator output is varied according to load. The SX7 model fits 650 V-Strom so would seem best match for SV650 electrically, don't know about mounting and plugs.

They come with 2 year warranty
