A childhood friend with a chemistry degree ended up working for the MOD to make stuff go bang
He was always fun at parties. He used to make something he would pour on the floor setting off little crackles/bangs as people walked on it. Guess these days they would do him for cooking up explosives in the kitchen and pay him for doing it at work in a government lab
