Thanks to all for responses. One mentioned connectors, which makes me ask another question - how does data get transmitted from the speedo ring to the speedometer? I haven't had a chance to look at the bike but I have been looking at the service manual. It doesn't show any kind of wire or cable to do this and I've never seen anything like that on the bike so how does the speedo get its info? Thanks again for input.
