Oulton Park (the full circuit) April 07.
Why?
1. It was my first track day. I did it on a H***a CBF500 (my courier bike) and for most of the first session I still had the top box on! But then they black flagged me and told me to take it off.
Probably the R1 rider (see below) complaining!
2. I scared the carp out of a marshall! I got one of the corners wrong, headed, at speed, towards his little post, yanked the brakes on, stopped and carried on. At the lunch break he asked how I had managed to stay upright on the wet grass. My reply? ABS!
3. Cascades. What a fun corner. Got my first full track bike scalp there. Took him (R1) round the outside.
Only been once but I'd love to go back on a better bike.
Another good thing was doing the Cat & Fiddle for the first time on the way to the track.
