I would guess that the bars are lower on the 'S' than on the naked variants ( eg. Gladius and AL7 ) and this can put strain on wrists, the height of bars on my AL7 means less weight on wrists and more on your bum (a more 'touring' position). There are threads on forum about people fitting higher bars to deal with wrist ache.
