Default Re: Noisy Cam chain?

Personally (and this is just my 10 pence worth) I don't think that is noisy in the video.

My K6S has 29K up (I've had it since 7.5K) and sometimes the camchain tap / rattle is really noticeable, yet other times is utterly silent - and it can go from one to the other in the course of a single ride. I have never been able to find any pattern for it. Doesn't matter if it's hot or cold, has done a long run or a short run, or whatever. It's always done it, ever since I got the bike. So I don't worry about it.

The SV motor is notorious for its mechanical noise, because unlike an inline twin or four-cylinder bike, the SV has double the number of camchains, and it also doesn't have a big chunky cylinder block to dampen mechanical noises. The camchain tunnels are outside the water jacket, right next to the external cylinder wall.
