Due to distance, I have given my 1st prize tickets to the Big Cat event, being held with Dereck & Beverly Joubert (the judges of this photo competition), to the 2nd place winner Gary Parker. He took 2nd place with a photo of Metsi's grandmother Makwela and cub:

Dereck & Beverly are 5 x Emmy award winning National Geographic Explorers in Residence & Wildlife film makers & photographers. Along with National Geographic they have started the ‘Big Cats Initiative’ to create awareness for the plight of the Big Cats, in particular Lions, Leopards & Cheetah across Africa.
