Cheers. I've never relied on mileage for refuelling, although my current use is pretty consistent. But I like to get what I can out of a fill, doing so at 120 or 130 miles would mean every other day and I'm not going to do that when I can get four days between fills. Currently I have petrol station available in town, and around 1/2 way home. Best case 15 miles between filling stations, worst case 29.

Back in the day of course bikes always had a reserve switch, or going further back they had a fuel tap on each side of the tank. Of course there was always the time that you feel the bike falter, reach down to switch onto reserve and find it's already set.
